Walk the natural wine aisle and you will find a lot of charm and very few numbers. Nobody names the organic body. Nobody prints the sulphur figure. Nobody shows you the fining agent or the bottle weight. You are asked to take it on faith. We like the wines, but we did not see why faith had to be the deal.
So we built the shop the other way round. Every bottle carries its record. Farming and the certifying body. The charter tier, only when the logo is on the glass. Total sulphur in milligrams. Yeast, fining, filtration, vegan status, vine age, and the empty weight of the bottle. Where we do not hold a figure, we write Not declared and mean it. Using that phrase honestly is what makes the numbers next to it worth anything.
Who we are
We are a family wine merchant of 25 years, with our own warehouse, our own imports and our own grower relationships. That is the plain truth and it is a stronger story than any invented one, so we tell it rather than hide it. Stock is held here, temperature managed, and shown live on the site. If a wine is on the page, it is on the shelf.
Sourcing, said plainly
Part of our range comes direct from the grower and part through UK importers. Both are good ways to buy wine and we will never pretend otherwise. Every bottle carries a route to market line telling you which it is. No other merchant volunteers this. We think it is a sign of confidence, not weakness.
